A report jointly released by the Roll Back Malaria (RBM) Partnership and UNICEF notes that while current investments in malaria control in Africa are saving lives, funding needs to be sustained and predictable if countries on the continent are to achieve global targets for reducing deaths caused by malaria. Seattle Commemorates World Malaria Day

Universal Coverage, Health MDGs and Vaccines: Moving Towards Malaria Eradication

This event is meant to highlight efforts to fight malaria and the changing focus of the malaria community toward the long-term goal of eradication. Topics include the latest in the development of and road to introduction of malaria vaccines, an overview of Red Cross Red Crescent programs to fight the disease, and innovative financing for malaria interventions.
